To maintain fairness and efficiency on Verix Tasks, we’ve implemented a robust Task Locking System. This ensures task slots are respected and prevents oversubmission.
What is Task Locking?
When you accept a task, the system automatically locks that task for you:
The slot you take is reserved and unavailable to others until your time expires or you submit proof.
If a task is meant for 10 participants and you accept it, only 9 slots remain.
This prevents more users from completing the task than required.
Time Limit
Once you accept a task, a countdown begins. You must submit proof before the timer ends.
If you fail to submit in time, your lock expires.
The task slot returns to the pool.
You cannot submit proof for that task after expiration.
Submitting Proof
After locking a task, the "Submit Proof" button becomes active. Use it to send your task completion evidence before the time runs out.
Important Notes
You can lock only one task at a time.
Only accept a task if you are ready to complete it immediately.
Locked tasks are visible only to you until submission or expiration.
Why Locking Helps
Maintains fairness among workers.
Prevents fake or duplicate completions.
Ensures task creators receive only the required number of submissions.
Remember: If a task has 20 slots and all are locked, no one else can see or accept it until a lock expires.
